We are committed to delivering exceptional products and services to our customers.We are seeking a proactive, results driven and detail-oriented HR & Payroll Coordinator to join our team. In this essential role, you will process payroll, manage our recruiting efforts and assist with HR operations and initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine a strong team spirit with a customer-centric mindset to help achieve both team and organizational goals and have two years of payroll and talent acquisition experience.This opportunity is in Syracuse, NY and requires onsite work.What you'll be doing:Payroll
  • Responsible for timely and accurate preparation and processing of weekly and biweekly, multi-state payroll.
  • Administration of time and attendance and time off systems.
  • Research and resolve payroll questions relative to time, direct deposit, garnishments, withholding questions and other related items.
  • Responsible for quarter and year-end payroll processes such as accurate issuance of W2's, as well as preparation for the next years payroll processes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local payroll, wage and hour laws.
Recruiting
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand departmental needs, position responsibilities and requirements and create streamlined processes to strengthen talent acquisition and hiring outcomes.
  • Lead all phases of the process; create job postings, source candidates, screen resumes, conduct phone screens and/or interviews, provide insight on selection of candidates and manage all candidate communications.
  • Ensure compliance with established interviewing and hiring guidelines and policy, as well as applicable federal and state laws.
  • Establish and maintain strong, positive relationships with candidates throughout the hiring process to ensure an excellent candidate experience.
  • Coordinate the pre-hire process; complete reference checks, create and send offer letters, initiate background checks and drug tests.
  • Maintain Applicant Tracking System.
  • Participate in local networking events, career fairs and company sponsored hiring events.
  • Stay up to date on and apply recruiting best practices.
Human Resources
  • Assist with day-to-day HR operations and initiatives.
  • Maintain confidential employee files, records and documentation.
  • Conduct research, manage projects and create internal communications.
  • Assist with planning company-sponsored employee events to enhance engagement and workplace culture.
  • Provide back up support to the Front Office (mail, answering phones, greeting visitors, etc.).
  • Assume additional responsibilities as required.
What we're looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field. In lieu of degree, must have four years of HR experience.
  • Two years of payroll processing, recruiting and HR experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
  • Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now preferred.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Demonstrate high level of personal and professional integrity with the ability to handle sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels and the ability to build rapport with candidates.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills and independent judgment to plan, organize and prioritize workload.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
