Job Description:

The HR Payroll Specialist will report to the Director of Human Resources of a financial services firm based in Palm Beach, Florida. The HR Payroll Specialist will be responsible for administering payroll and benefits to 200 employees through ADP Workforce Now.

Description

Responsibilities of the HR Payroll Specialist

Payroll Administration

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 150+ employees through ADP Workforce Now; review all payroll documents, process new hires, employee changes, including payroll deductions, and special payroll.
  • Responsible for preparing bi-weekly funding requests of payroll bank accounts.
  • Submit bi-weekly employee 401k and Health Savings Contributions to respective plan administrators.
  • Assist property managers and employees with ADP Time and Attendance module including timecard adjustments, vacation requests.
  • Coordinate new state withholding and unemployment registration with ADP, as needed.

Benefits Administration

  • Administer all employee and voluntary benefit plans such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, AD&D, health savings account, flexible spending account and 401(k).
  • Complete quarterly and annual reporting for employee benefits: ACA, 401K, Workers Comp, Unemployment, etc.
  • Support employees with Workers Compensation, Short- and Long-Term Disability Claims.
  • Support the review of the annual benefit plan; provide employee census information. Annual benefits cost review, etc..
  • Coordinate open enrollment process and employee communications.
  • Responsible to collect quarterly enrollment and change requests across all eligible employees who participate in the 401(k) plan.
  • Responsible for coordination of annual 401k Audit; work with external auditors on requests, financial statements, etc.

Human Resources

  • Support recruitment initiatives undertaken by the DoHR in a variety of ways across all business lines, including property staff, corporate operations and finance and any other ancillary business endeavors.
  • Responsible for the On-Boarding and Off-Boarding for all employees within ADP Workforce Now; prepare offer letters, background screening, reference checks, on-boarding and off-boarding forms and notifications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Coordinate new hire technology needs with IT Department and return of equipment during off-boarding. Coordinate with IT/Facilities on physical access requirements.
  • Assist with Verifications of employment as needed.
  • Ensure all Federal and State required reporting, forms, and posters are up to date and maintained accurately.

Profile

Qualifications of the HR Payroll Specialist include:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field; Professional experience and/or other training/certification may be substituted for the education.
  • Three years' experience in HR or payroll/benefits administration.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and payroll processing.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with immigration/foreign Visa categories and applications would be highly desirable
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to travel (to CT and other domestic locations).
  • Excellent Hands on operational skills.

Job Offer

  • Base salary range $65,000 - $85,000
