Position Description - Seeking a solid and skilled professional to support Operations/Dispatch in real time in a a fast-paced workplace-addressing attendance, performance, continued training, and compliance. Must be exceptionally organized with an appreciation for details. Must have strong writing skills and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will be driven, outgoing, adaptable, and reliable, with a Bachelor's degree and minimally 3-7 years of HR experience. Oilfield and/or DOT experience strongly preferred. - Daily communication with Operations/Dispatch to handle compliance, complaints, and performance concerns for all field employees
- All HR Generalist tasks for cross training purposes and/or as assigned
- Lead investigations and make recommendations based on investigation findings
- Become the expert on in-house systems and processes
- Advise and coach mangers on disciplinary, compliance, and management issues with their employees
- Perform regular and documented manager check-ins
- Assist with time off processing and employment verification responses as needed
- Respond to employment inquiries and monitor HR@ distribution emails
- Help communicate any corporate changes to the field
- Supervise and lead Odessa branch office in all responsibilities, filling in as necessary
- Assist with remote hiring
- Attend corporate meetings
- Take lead on assessing rehire and new hire eligibility for field employees
- Work as needed with various department (HR, Safety, DOT, Recruiting, Ops) to help police, improve, and implement new processes
- Issue and document any employee disciplinary action, up to and including termination
- Complete weekly payroll pre-process review for field employees
- Assist with projects such as handbook updates, policy updates, document updates, issue research, etc. as assigned
- Ensure compliance with DOT areas such as Driver Qualification, random drug tests, hazmat training, and drug and alcohol policies
- Periodic travel to the field markets as the need arises
- Continue to grow and assist with providing leadership to the HR Department
- Perform periodic department audits and quality control checks
- Daily communication with HR team and Director
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Requirements:
- 100% in person work (NOT a remote/hybrid position)
- High preference given to candidates with DOT and/or oilfield experience
- Bachelor's Degree plus 3-7 years of HR experience
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and accuracy
- Tech savvy and solid Microsoft Office suite skills
