Must be flexible for occasional meetings/assignments outside of standard business hours, including weekends.Position Overview:A Human Resources Professional provides competent, experienced support to managers, caregivers and the organization through the practice of core human resources competencies, such as business acumen, data literacy, digital agility, people advocacy and execution excellence.A successful Human Resources Professional on our team will manage many processes and projects in our recruitment, performance management, compensation and benefits, workforce development, engagement, and employee relations functions through a diversity, equity and inclusion lens that focuses on process development and deployment.Responsibilities include coaching and consulting with management regarding employee issues, coaching and corrective action, grievances and terminations. Expectations are to meet with departmental leadership and caregivers to provide support for difficult situations, conflict management, and maneuvering the grievance process.Our Human Resources team leverages the practices and skills in a LEAN environment, focusing on process development and execution using our Continuous Systems Improvement tools, to realize strategic HR objectives.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Performance Improvement: Supports assigned leadership in the journey to continuously improve the Performance Management, Recruitment, Compensation and Benefits, and Leaves of Absence processes at Winona Health. Works closely with other key HR collaborators for support in strategies for addressing opportunities to improve caregiver engagement and development.Works with the Human Resources team and other organizational leadership to plan and implement organizational initiatives aimed to improve caregiver engagement, satisfaction and development. Leverages deep understanding of Human Resources data to improve performance metrics within Human Resources and other organizational service lines and value streams.Performance Management: Responsibilities include coaching and working with managers and staff to ensure compliance with legal requirements and WH policies and practices related to coaching and corrective actions, terminations, grievances, performance meetings, staff reductions, and unemployment proceedings. Counsels and supports managers and staff to ensure that all performance actions are properly managed and documented. Identifies and manages risks by collaborating and communicating with HR and organizational leadership.Recruitment: Recruitment responsibilities include developing and maintaining compliant and efficient recruitment strategies to ensure that all recruitment processes are successfully filling all open positions with the most qualified caregivers. Executes recruitment processes in the most effective, efficient, and financially responsible manner. Evaluates and deploys recruitment efforts that are Winona Health mission focused and meet our EEO/AA philosophy and AA plan goals and requirements. Supports the recruitment process for assigned service line to assist hiring managers with bringing in qualified individuals to interview for open positions. Develops, supports, improves and executes the following processes to ensure best HR outcomes for our caregivers, requisitions, change of status forms, and internal and external offers, within the scope and philosophy of the Winona Health compensation system and according to all policies and procedures. Ensures that role summaries are developed and maintained for all WH positions.Acts as a resource to managers in creating roles/positions ensuring that role summaries are accurate and cover all necessary requirements for effective compensation management and legal compliance. Assists the Affirmative Action Officer with Affirmative Action planning, monitoring, reporting and overall compliance. Reviews applications and data related to interviews, job offers and promotional opportunities to ensure compliance with AA goals and objectives. Prepares annual compliance reports, seeks opportunities to better recruit for underutilized categories and assists with the annual review of the AA Plan.Benefits and Compensation: Responsibilities include supporting the administration of the contract and non-contract compensation and leave programs. Provides support to managers in interpreting and administering compensation matters including the use of our UKG HRIS applications and other software. Supports caregiver benefits education. Guides caregivers towards how to source answers to benefit related questions. May act as an expert in assigned areas for other benefit related processes like tuition reimbursement, employee assistance programs, etc.Health and Wellness: Facilitates safe working conditions by developing and deploying the processes to comply with health care Occupational and Employee Health services. May be actively involved in the development and promotion of workplace safety programs along with support for work injury prevention programs. Works collaboratively with internal teams to continuously develop processes and policies that comply with state and federal healthcare setting based safety initiatives. May act as an expert through the deployment of our workers compensation claims processes with internal and external stakeholders.Skills and Experience:5+ years of experience in a Human Resource setting is essentialSeeking or attained a 2 or 4-year degree in Human Resources, Business or Healthcare related field of study is preferredPrior experience in a healthcare setting preferredWorking toward or having attained SHRM, HRCI, CEBS designations preferred Experience working in Microsoft Suite of programs: Word, Excel, Teams, etc. preferred.HRIS experience preferred, UKG HRIS experience greatly preferredPhysical Demands:Sedentary WorkWork activities that require lifting of objects up to 10-20# on rare to occasional basis. Sedentary work generally involves sitting most of the time, but may also involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Roles are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.Physical Requirements:May complete computer work activities for the majority of the day with work tasks that require occasional standing to retrieve items from the other work spaces or use office equipment.May assume reaching in vertical height within 20-35 on a regular basis and occasionally at 6-18 or at 40-60 when retrieving items from storage. May bend from sitting or standing position to retrieve items from lower storage. Reaching in the front and to the side most often.May use both hands to with simple grasping and pinch grasping to operate office equipment at desk heights.
