Our client is a major international law firm, providing business law advice of the highest quality. They want to be the law firm that clients turn to for legal advice where it matters most, wherever in the world that may be. They deliver seamless service across borders, cultures and languages.

This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days onsite at the firm's Raleigh, NC office.

Role summary/purpose of job

The HR Systems Analyst is responsible for developing, supporting, and maintaining the core HR system while delivering excellent customer service to colleagues.

This role requires knowledge of HR processes and the ability to resolve issues; working in a team environment to analyze business processes and configure new functionality within the core HR system and other HR systems.

Key responsibilities and deliverables

  • Troubleshooting system user issues;
  • Escalating where needed and managing escalation tickets;
  • Conducts all activities to advise users on Workday and other HR system queries (e.g. Alemba), documenting responses in the ticketing system and escalating to other parties e.g., the IT team appropriately
  • Carries out testing of HR systems changes, maintaining test logs and project documentation; incorporate any additional tests that have been identified following a production incidents
  • Audit business process and completeness of tasks to highlight any system issues;
  • Act as the subject matter expert on HR system processes and data flows; support activities to assist with the transition and deployment of new systems into BAU;
  • Work closely with the business for all Workday release items and Continuous Improvement to understand requirements, solution design and support the communications and training of changes;
  • Manage the resolution of defects of system issues escalating internally or externally as required
  • Design and deliver training to other HR users on HR applications and systems, and provide day to day HR end-user support;
  • Improve data accuracy, recognizing data problems or inconsistencies and identify solutions to correct discrepancies;
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to improve the quality of HR information;
  • Lead on all US HR Reporting and Compliance requirements;
  • Assist with bi-annual Workday releases through researching Workday community, testing new functionality and communicating changes to HR teams;
  • Supervise Data Coordinator by providing strong guidance, coaching, and mentoring on reporting and data.

Key requirements (Communication/skills/experience)

Essential

  • Experience with cloud based SaaS systems, particularly Workday
  • Strong skills in data analysis, attention to detail and accuracy;
  • IT literate, advance knowledge of MS Excel including pivot tables, vlookup and macros;
  • Working knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Visio;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to listen, clarify and share information easily.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a HR role and knowledge of HR processes;
  • Previous experience of using cloud business systems such as Workday;
  • Experience implementing cloud HR systems such as Workday;
  • Experience of working in professional services / legal sector.
