Job Description:
I. General Summary: Responsible for providing bilingual (EnglishSpanish)Human Resources support to Toyota Boshoku Tennessee to ensure stable teammember relations, strengthen working relationships, and drive companyvaluesculture. May provide support assistance to Safety, Security, andTraining functions.II. Essential Job Functions:A. Resolve issues and provides feedback to team member relations managementthrough daily interaction with team members and department leadersB. Ensure fairness and consistency in the application of TBA policy and pastpracticeC. Conduct exit interviews and discusses results with HR teamD. Work with other human resources staff members to draft policies andproceduresE. Ensure hiring of hourly members is standardized and compliant with companypolicyF. Draft and submit recommendations for terminationsG. Assist with negotiating service contractsH. Assist with conducting team member opinion surveyI. Analyze team member morale using information gathered through variousmethodsJ. Complete team member relations activities (communications, round tablemeetings, gemba walks, plantwide meetings, etc)K. Investigate, report on, and conclude internal complaints and Ethics PointmattersL. Conduct various training classes related to team member relations functionM. Maintain understanding and working knowledge of TBAs organization,automotive plants and processesprinciples, company products, tradeterminology, and manufacturing processesN. Plan, assist with, and lead TBA social activities and community relationsactivitiesO. Provide bilingual communication support (translationinterpretation) in avariety of settings for team members and candidates. This may include, but isnot limited to, verbal, written, andor electronic means.P. Crosstrain and support in absence of HR members as neededAssist with recruitment processes, benefits administration, onboarding,personnel administration, team member development, and other HR duties, asneeded.III. Minimum QualificationsRequirements:Education:• Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or relatedfield required or an equivalent combination of education and relevantexperience• PHR or SPHR designation preferredExperience:• Minimum of four (4) years of relevant human resources generalist experiencewith focused experience in an employeeteam member relations role• Corporate and manufacturing setting experience preferredPersonalTechnical Skills:• Ability to communicate and work well with all levels of the organization• Ability to work with multiple departments and prioritize activities• Ability to take initiative on assigned tasks without significant supervision• Ability to exercise exceptional independent judgment and discretion• Be able to maintain the confidentiality of any information encountered• Excellent project skills and ability to coordinate multiple projects andprograms• Ability to create reports, business correspondence, and procedures• Ability to compile effective and concise visual reports in charts, graphs,and table format• Ability to maintain appropriate level of conventionality and conformancewith regard to the corporate culture• Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected and or continuingsituations which arise in the work place• Must be able to work a fixed or rotating shift schedule, including workingoutside of normal business hours and outside of planned schedule.• Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.Language Skills:• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.ComputerSoftware:• Solid working knowledge of, and experience with, word processing,spreadsheet, electronic mail, database, desktop publishing, and presentationapplications andor software, preferably Microsoft Office• Experience working with large scale HRIS and other business enterprisesystems, Oracle and Kronos experience preferred• Proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS TEAMSpreferred.IV. Work EnvironmentConditions:Office: Open Office Environment, moderate noise level.Plant: Standard automotive plant environment with moderate noise level. PPE(Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes,hearing protection, etc. may be required in engineering, manufacturing, orindustrial areas. Personal attire standards may apply.Travel: Must be willing to travel 0-10% of the time.V. Physical Demands:Ability to sit and work on a computer for extensive periods of time isrequired. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is requiredto talk, see, and hear. The team member must be capable of walking, sitting,and standing for extended periods of time and is occasionally required to liftup to 30 pounds.
