Campus Enterprises Mission: Campus Enterprises is NC State University's division of retail and hospitality organizations - NC State Dining, NC State Stores, Lonnie Poole Golf Course, NC State Student Centers (Witherspoon and Talley), and the One Card Office. Each department is dedicated to providing service excellence, value and enrichment of the student experience in support of academic success.Purpose: Promote employee development and engagement for the employees of Campus Enterprises.Location: NC State University, Administrative Services Building ISupervision: Employee Development & Engagement CoordinatorWork Schedule: Employment can begin in December and will continue through the '24-'25 academic year at 10-15 hours per week. Hours will be scheduled between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm Monday thru Friday.Starting Wage: Starting at $11.50/hour. Annual increases for returning students.Federal Work-Study EligibleEssential functions and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Administrative support for the Campus Enterprises training program including:
- Managing training registrations and attendance
- Designing and facilitating orientations and professional development workshops
- Organizing data and developing reports
- Assist with recruiting for permanent and temporary employees using Indeed and Linked IN
- Advise the division on ways to encourage professional success and skill development among student employees and other employees
- Work with a team to plan events such as professional development workshops, recognition celebrations, and more
- Independently execute projects in areas of interest
- Positively and professionally represent Campus Enterprises as a student employee to the NC State community, prospective employees and coworkers
Essential qualifications:
- Elevated oral and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and demonstrated experience managing accurate records
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work with a team to serve a diverse population
- Google suite savvy
Preferred qualifications:
- Current NC State Campus Enterprises student employee with at least one semester of experience
- Demonstrated leadership capacity through leadership roles within Campus Enterprises (i.e. Student Manager, etc.)
- Relevant academic interests such as Marketing, Education or Human Resources
- Experience in public speaking or training
- Advanced google suite knowledge
