Job Description:
The HR Support Specialist is part of a 11 staff member human resource team that supports J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center in Morganton, NC. This position provides technical assistance to all areas of the HR department including recruitment, salary administration and classification, benefits aswell as employee relations. This position provides frontline customer services to more than 900+ employees as it serves as the HR receptionist and is the first point of contact for all customers visiting and/or calling the HR department. The position will be responsible for scheduling/securing meeting arrangements as requested by the HR Manager; clerical on-boarding duties for new hires; filing for all areas of the human resource department; assisting the ER Specialist and Benefits Supervisor with data entry; and scheduling exit interviews for the ER Specialist.This position will serve as a back-up timekeeper, approve temporary solutions time in Kronos on a weekly basis, and send contract and temporary solutions data to the DSOHF TimeHelp team as well as any replacement badge requests.This is an 8-hour position with the following work schedule: Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.Salary Grade NC08; Recruitment Range $36,682.00 - $64,194.00Position 60094817 - DHR/RDC- 1st shift (8:00a - 5:00p), every Monday - FridayAbout the DHHS Division of Human ResourcesThe DHHS Division of Human Resources is responsible for strategic and tactical human capital management within DHHS including compliance with all federal and state rules and regulations affecting employee relations, recruitment/selection, job evaluation, salary administration, benefits, workers compensation, safety, timekeeping, and core staff development.About J.
