Job Description:
Job Summary:The HRIS Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation, management, and optimization of HR technology systems. This role ensures that HR systems effectively support organizational goals, streamline HR processes, and improve the overall employee experience. The HRIS Program Manager leads cross-functional teams in the integration, configuration, and maintenance of HRIS platforms, and ensures alignment with business needs and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:
  • HRIS Strategy and Leadership:
    • Lead the development and execution of HRIS strategies, ensuring systems are aligned with business goals and HR initiatives.
    • Collaborate with senior HR leadership to define HR system requirements and prioritize initiatives.
    • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on HRIS and related technologies, providing guidance to HR, IT, and business teams.
  • System Implementation and Integration:
    • Oversee the successful implementation of new HR systems, modules, or features, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
    • Manage system integrations between HRIS and other enterprise systems (e.g., payroll, benefits, finance, performance management).
    • Coordinate with vendors and third-party consultants for system development, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • System Maintenance and Optimization:
    • Manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of HRIS, ensuring smooth functionality, integration with other systems and user satisfaction.
    • Configure system settings, update user access permissions, and ensure the system meets the needs of the HR department and broader organization.
    • Troubleshoot issues and resolve system problems, working with IT support and software vendors as needed.
    • Continuously assess system capabilities and recommend improvements or enhancements to meet evolving business needs.
  • Data Management and Reporting:
    • Ensure HRIS data integrity by developing and enforcing data governance standards and procedures.
    • Build and manage dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights on workforce metrics (e.g., turnover, headcount, performance), providing valuable insights to HR leadership and other departments.
    • Analyze data and trends to support decision-making and provide recommendations to HR leadership.
    • Perform regular data audits and implement processes for data verification and correction.
  • User Support and Training:
    • Develop and deliver training materials for HRIS users, ensuring HR team members and employees understand how to effectively use the system.
    • Provide ongoing support and guidance to end-users, answering system-related questions and troubleshooting issues.
    • Facilitate user feedback and continuously improve the user experience of HR systems.
  • Compliance and Security:
    • Ensure HRIS compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational data protection requirements.
    • Work closely with IT and compliance teams to safeguard sensitive employee data and ensure system security.
    • Stay updated on HR technology trends and best practices, making recommendations for compliance and security enhancements.
    • Assist in preparing for internal audits or external compliance assessments related to HR data and systems.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead and manage cross-functional projects related to HRIS, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and objectives.
    • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for HRIS initiatives.
    • Report on project progress to senior leadership, ensuring any issues or risks are promptly addressed.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other departments, including IT, Finance, and Legal, to ensure the HRIS integrates effectively with other enterprise systems.
    • Collaborate with HR business partners to ensure HR systems meet the needs of different HR functions (recruitment, payroll, benefits, performance management, etc.).
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation for HRIS processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
    • Keep an up-to-date knowledge base for HRIS users, including FAQs, user guides, and training materials.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HRIS management.
    • Strong knowledge of HRIS platforms and willingness to learn new systems
    • Experience in HR processes (payroll, benefits, recruiting, talent management, etc.) and understanding of HR data and reporting needs.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage complex HRIS projects from conception to delivery.
    • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to extract, interpret, and present data.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Experience with system integrations, data management, and HR technology best practices.
    • PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
