HR-Total Compensation Administrator
Coe College seeks qualified candidates for the position of HR-Total Compensation Administrator. This is a fulltime exempt position with responsibilities for developing, implementing, and managing compensation strategies that support fair and equitable pay practices while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This position oversees payroll processing for approximately 800 employees, including student workers, supports benefits administration, and maintains the integrity of HR data systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a service-oriented mindset, analytical capabilities, and a commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
Essential Job Responsibilities
* Payroll Management:
* Accurately process biweekly payroll for all employees and student workers, ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws.
* Prepare and file quarterly unemployment reports and annual W-2 forms.
* Stay current with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, implementing updates as necessary to maintain compliance.
* Compensation Strategy and Analysis:
* Develop and manage a comprehensive compensation structure, including salary grades, job classifications, and pay equity initiatives.
* Conduct regular salary benchmarking and market analysis to ensure competitive pay practices.
* Advise leadership on compensation-related matters, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
* Benefits Support:
* Assist with the reconciliation and administration of employee benefits, ensuring they align with total compensation strategies.
* Provide employees with guidance on benefit options as part of the overall rewards package.
* Data Management:
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS, ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and security.
* Prepare and submit mandatory reports such as EEO, IPEDS, and OSHA, collaborating with internal stakeholders as needed.
* Generate reports on HR metrics (e.g., turnover, headcount, compensation trends) to inform strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
* 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing, compensation management, or HR administration.
* Demonstrated knowledge of HRIS platforms and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, reporting software).
* Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment and payroll laws.
* Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on service excellence.
