Job Title: HRIS SpecialistLocation: Mostly remote, occasional onsite work required in Columbus, OH Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced HRIS Specialist to join our team. This role will provide both technical and functional expertise for our HR systems, covering a wide range of responsibilities from system design and development to testing, implementation, maintenance, reporting, and training. The HRIS Specialist will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize HR system usage, functionality, and data requirements, driving process improvements. Key Responsibilities:
- Technical and Functional Administration:
- Provide comprehensive support and solutions for HR systems including design, development, testing, maintenance, reporting, and integration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve HR system issues promptly.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to enhance HR system functionality and data requirements.
- Facilitate process improvements through effective system design and usage.
- Reporting and Data Management:
- Develop ad hoc reports to support internal client data requests.
- Define logic for report generation and create standard reports to meet business needs.
- Ensure accurate data display in HR systems, recognizing and addressing data inconsistencies.
- System Implementation and Updates:
- Participate in the implementation and updates of HRIS modules.
- Review quarterly release notes and communicate system updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure proper system functionality post-updates through test plan development and execution.
- Technical Assistance and Training:
- Provide technical support to end users of HR systems and other HR database solutions.
- Monitor adherence to data management procedures.
- Identify, develop, and deliver HR system training tailored to end-user needs.
- Communication and Problem-Solving:
- Communicate effectively with HR, IT, and management staff to identify and resolve issues.
- Derive appropriate system and process solutions to address inquiries and problems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a professional HR capacity, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Proficiency with HR Systems such as SAP/SuccessFactors, ADP Enterprise, Workday, or similar Core HR/Payroll systems, as well as Talent Management Systems and Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Experience with report writing tools and defining system solutions.
- Proven experience in automating work processes and implementing cloud-based systems.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Access.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to establish effective interpersonal relationships with management and staff.
- Ability to work independently toward project deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expert user knowledge of HR system solutions.
- Understanding of underlying data structures in HR systems.
