Position Description The HSE Field Manager's primary responsibility is to develop and implement Compliance Inspections, support Field Operations, and ensure accurate Regulatory documentation and record keeping across BLUROC's operating units. Commit to the highest standards of social, ethical, and environmental & safety compliance, conduct and responsibility. The successful candidate will have a vast safety field experience, and excellent interpersonal skills and possess strong leadership and knowledge of Civil, Trenching, Confined Space, and other standards. Be familiar with EH&S, as well as safety reporting indices, communications and have a history of positive customer/client relationships. Responsibilities
  • Support/Conduct safety inspections and point of contact for projects.
  • Fairly and consistently enforce all company health and safety policies.
  • Coordinate routine worksite safety inspections and intervene in any unsafe activities or conditions.
  • Coordinate hazard identification and risk assessments and recommend appropriate engineering and/or administrative/procedural controls.
  • Participate in project planning activities and assist in the development of site-specific Health and Safety Plans.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of health and safety-related standards and work procedures, and monitor their application and effectiveness.
  • Lead in incident investigation and analysis (TapRoot©).
  • Lead in regulatory audits and safety management system audits.
  • Maintain and facilitate regulatory inspection programs.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation, project orientation, tailgate safety training, and other task-specific safety training as required (i.e. confined space entry, respiratory protection).
  • Participate in weekly safety meetings and call-ins.
  • Assist in the development and facilitation of safety committee objectives.
  • Support development and maintenance of requirements for the training and certification of field employees.
  • Manage field compliance Safety Coordinators time and assets.
QualificationsRequirements
  • College diploma or university degree in the field of Environmental, Health, Safety, Science, or a management information system; or at least 5+ years related work experience.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Analytical mindset, good problem-solving skills, and team player.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
