Job Description:
Essential Job Functions:* Coordinates daily contact with HSE team to help and maintain a focus on safety. Assist all craft employees in the advancement of on the job hazard recognition.* Promotes positive reinforcement to all employees who cooperate and practice safe actions while on duty.* Advocates for the use of required personal protective equipment and adherence to all site-specific safety requirements.* Facilitates and coordinates new arrivals on location by informing them of site hazards, THA, Safe Work Permit, and other relevant HSE requirements.* Facilitates simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) for the worksite with all employees, the client, and other contractors.* Performs job sites inspections for possible safety violations, health and environmental concerns; performs safety audits.* Makes safety suggestions and reports unsafe conditions or practices.* Participates in the investigation of all incidents, injuries and near misses.* Responds to concerns and requests for information from HSE and Management Team.* Maintains safety files and records.* Participates in weekly safety meetings and periodic training sessions, to help, promote and interact with all employees and allow feedback or dialogue on safety concerns.* Creates and maintains a relationship with the Clients' safety managers as appropriate.* Attends training sessions, seminars and appropriate educational classes required by department* Other duties as assigned.Required Minimum Qualifications:* High school diploma or equivalent* One (1) year of safety or related experience* Valid Driver License and clean driving record* Current OSHA 10 Certification, or ability to obtain upon hire* Current H2S Certification, or ability to obtain upon hirePost Job Offer Requirements:* Take and pass a pre-employment drug test.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:* Working knowledge of OSHA requirements.* A working knowledge of craft disciplines and oil and gas industry terms and processes.* Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner* Willingness to learn HSE policies, procedures, and processes.* Ability to work within a team and interest in building communication skills.* Ability to display professional behavior at all times* Computer Skills commensurate with job requirementsPhysical Demand/Work Environment:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
