DescriptionGeneral Information:Hitachi Energy is seeking for a Hub Controller for it's Mt Pleasant, PA location.Your Responsibilities:* VP Controller is a senior executive who manages a company's financial health and accounting activities for PGHV Hub NAM SAM:* Accounting: Oversees accounting activities, including the financial close process, and ensures that ledgers are accurate* Financial reporting: Produces financial statements and reports to guide decision-making* Budgeting: Assists with or creates the budget, including incorporating historical data* Compliance: Ensures compliance with local law, tax provisions, and relevant industry and financial regulations* Record-keeping: Maintains and analyzes financial statements, payroll, and budgets* Internal controls: Creates internal policies and spend controls to prevent fraud* Financial strategy: Develops financial strategy, including risk minimization plans and opportunity forecasting* Cost savings: Identifies efficiencies and opportunities for cost reductions* Leadership: Mentors and manages the accounting and financial staff* Financial controllers typically have a degree in accounting or finance and may have certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a Chartered Accountant (CA).
