Job Description:
Vali, Inc. is currently seeking candidates with a background in talent management, performance management, classification, career development, change management, communications, and training to serve as a Human Capital Generalist supporting the Missile Defense Agency in Colorado Springs, CO.
Essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Provide HR program management support and communications.
- Update, draft, and research HR-related policies and documents.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Track, analyze, edit, and report personnel actions related to recognition programs.
- Facilitate receipt, distribution, and completion of certificates of eligibility to hiring officials, schedule interviews, and prepare and coordinate required personnel staffing packages.
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices.
- Thoroughly reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Assisting with HR-related actions, in/out processing, and other functions as needed.
- Provides training support as needed.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comprehends the use of metrics, trends, and work monitoring to ensure the completion of timely and quality work.
- Provide excellent customer service to the workforce.
- Identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Measure, track, and report results of current initiatives.

Desired Skills/Experience:
- Experience communicating with and training/presenting to leaders.
- Prior MDA or DoD experience preferred.
Education Requirement/Required Years of Experience:
- B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field of study or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Human Resource professional certifications are preferred.
- Eligibility for higher labor categories is based on additional years of experience.
Clearance Requirement(s):
- Candidates for this position must be eligible to obtain/maintain a U.S. DoD Secret level security clearance; Candidates with an active Secret clearance preferred.
