- Conduct job analysis and evaluate position descriptions according to OPM classification standards, determining appropriate series, grade, and title.
- Apply position classification and management principles to ensure roles align with regulations, organizational plans, and budgetary constraints.
- Maintain competitive levels and sensitivity levels for GPO positions to ensure accuracy and consistency across classifications.
- Support managers and HR staff by providing position management, organizational design advice, and classification training.
- Develop and maintain a classification database and participate in workgroups focused on classification and position management.
- Lead projects to assess current roles, review OPM classification standards, and implement new standards across GPO.
- Provide responses to classification appeals, workforce restructuring, and organization-wide studies, ensuring compliance with federal HR standards.Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant HR experience, with knowledge of federal classification standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with classification systems (e.g., MonsterClass).
- Strong understanding of federal HR policies, Fair Labor Standards Act, and position classification regulations.Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of federal HR concepts, classification standards, and organizational design.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide training and draft comprehensive evaluation statements.
