The incumbent will head up employment marketing initiatives, internal referral programs, and develop employee engagement metrics and retention programs. The position will be creating internal policies and performing external communications for acquiring and retaining talents.The talent acquisition specialist devises strategy and recruitment process, as well as actual execution of the sourcing or recruiting campaign across the organization. This position will be involved not only in finding and screening candidates, but developing the corporate policy for talent bench-marking, talent assessment, and interviewing policies. The talent acquisition department may liaise with other departments including the legal department to ensure compatibility with employment law.Required Skills and AbilitiesGeneral knowledge of Texas employment laws and practices.Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of sensitive and confidential issues.Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.Manage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities.Resolve issues by using judgement that is consistent with policies, practices, standards, procedures, regulations or laws.Ability to adapt to changing work priorities and communicate with a significant diversity of individuals and/or groups.Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced and diverse environment, with minimal supervision.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Power Point.QualificationsJob DutiesMaintain the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of needs; screen, interview, and, where necessary, submit candidates for background check and reference validation.Develop local and regional recruiting plans by employing traditional sourcing strategies, as well as researching and recommending new sources for active and passive recruitment efforts.Network and maintain community contacts; coordinate and implement college recruiting initiative, by attending job fairs and maintaining active correspondence with student career centers.Conduct regular follow-up with hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of the current recruitment plans and implementation.Submit routine report to Recruitment Manager via with the pre-populated format.BenefitsWE OFFER OPPORTUNITIES FOR ADVANCEMENT, A COMPREHENSIVE BENEFITS PACKAGE WHICH INCLUDES INSURANCE, PTO, VACATION PAY, AND A 401K!This position requires general office work with light physical duty, work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes.
