POSITION TITLE: Human Resource Administrative Assistant/Secretary (Non-Unit position) Office of the Assistant Superintendent of Operations SALARY RANGE: Experience TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 Months POSITION SUMMARY: Provide front-line reception duties as well as general office support. IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Assistant Superintendent of Operations DUTIES: Welcome and receive staff and visitors to the Office of the Assistant Superintendent of Operations. Act as hostess for all meetings, gatherings, and special events sponsored by the Office of the Assistant Superintendent of Operations. Answer front-line phones for the Office of the Assistant Superintendent of Operations. Take and compose meeting minutes. Process all projects through completion in conjunction with other deadline-sensitive responsibilities. Coordinate and organize travel arrangements for the Assistant Superintendent and Human Resource Directors. Respond to inquiries (e.g. telephone calls, visitors, requests, concerns, questions) for the purpose of resolving problems from parents, employees, and community members, providing information and/or referring to appropriate personnel. Support and assist the Assistant Superintendent of Operations and Human Resource Directors in the duties and responsibilities of this position, as needed. Provide general office support as needed. Perform all other duties assigned or requested. Duties could change based on needs. QUALIFICATIONS: High school equivalency plus two years of specified training and 3-5 years of experience, or college degree. Bilingual preferred. High level of proficiency with current technology, including Microsoft office. Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing work priority. Ability to effectively meet and interact with diverse groups, work cooperatively with others, and handle stressful situations. Ability to use tact, empathy, discretion, poise and diplomacy. Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality. Capable of screening telephone calls; good organizational ability Ability to project a positive personal and professional image. Must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule adaptable to the varying requirements of the Assistant Superintendent of Operations Office. Some evenings and weekends may be required. />
