Job Description:

A Human Resources and Payroll Administrator is responsible for managing HR functions and processing payroll for an organization. Here are the key aspects of this role: Core Responsibilities

  • Payroll Administration
  • Process weekly and biweekly payroll accurately and on time
  • Enter and maintain employee pay information, including salaries, hourly rates, bonuses, deductions, and withholdings
  • Ensure proper processing of payroll taxes and benefit deductions
  • Handle multi-state payroll filings as needed
  • Post employment advertisements
  • OSHA: Oversee and responsible for Safety reviews and compliance
  • Unemployment insurance
Benefits Administration
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies
  • Conduct benefits orientations and enrollment for employees
  • Assist employees with benefits inquiries and claims issues
  • Coordinate with benefits vendors and partners
HR Functions
  • Maintain employee records and HR information systems
  • Implement employee onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
  • Conduct background checks and employment verifications
  • Assist with employee relations issues
  • Maintain job descriptions
  • Timely performance reviews by managers
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices
