- Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and high performance.
- Advise employees and managers on HR policies and practices.
- Promote transparency and engagement through communication initiatives.
- Conduct employee investigations and manage disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Oversee off-boarding processes and data management.
Compliance
- Assist in developing HR strategies and goal setting.
- Compile and report HR data.
- Ensure HR policies align with legal and company requirements.
- Manage performance review processes.
- Handle employee leave programs, including FMLA.
- Maintain accurate employee records in Paylocity.
- Prepare documentation for investigations, appeals, and hearings.
- Revise and update the employee handbook.
- Ensure legal compliance with EEO, AAP, FLSA, and other regulations.
- Act as a liaison for workers' compensation claims and incidents.
Compensation & Benefits
- Assist in employee benefits administration and open enrollment.
- Process benefits paperwork.
- Support payroll processing and provide training as needed.
Additional Responsibilities
- Conduct internal audits.
- Support recruitment, orientation, and onboarding processes.
- Handle recurring office tasks independently with minimal supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
RequirementsEducation and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a high-growth HR environment.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws (FLSA, EEO, FMLA, ADA, etc.).
- Experience with Paylocity is required.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
- Effective multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit, stand, climb, stoop, and remain at a desk for up to 8 hours or more if needed.
- Must be able to lift to 30 lbs. as needed.
