Position Summary

The Human Resources Generalist is a site-specific HR team member, who focuses on building relationships within our organization and provides exceptional HR support to designated locations/departments. The focus of this role will be employee relations, with involvement in supporting performance management, recruiting & onboarding, and learning &development. The HR Generalist is responsible for championing the company's employee value proposition and will work as a member of the HR team, while supporting their site-specific leadership teams and employee population.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Serve as a partner to the Indianapolis, IN & Stoughton, WI sites for all aspects of Human Resources.
  • Partner with business units to maintain cohesiveness as it pertains to employee relations.
  • Attend weekly departmental meetings, liaise with team leaders, supervisors, and managers on a weekly basis, and be responsive with advice on coaching, counseling, investigations, disciplines, and terminations.

Support recruiting and onboarding activities to provide an excellent candidate experience, while supporting the sites with quality talent.

  • Partner with Supervisor – Talent Acquisition to ensure culture and job fit for all level positions within scope of responsibility.
  • Maintain current and compliant on HR Employment laws and regulations.
  • Exhibit the six Values of our organization.
  • Identify ways to increase quality of the employee experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, or relevant experience required.

PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

Minimum three years' experience working in HR required, with specific experience supporting employee relations also required.

Experience with HRIS systems, preferably Oracle HRMS.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to coach, lead, and partner with employees across all levels of the organization.

Ability to work well under pressure and meet multiple competing deadlines.

Ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity.

Proficient with MS Office 365 applications.

Work Environment

  • This role operates in a professional office environment onsite at our Indianapolis manufacturing facility and is required to be onsite minimum of 4 days/week, with option for 1 remote day/week.
  • Working remotely from a home office will be facilitated when applicable and is at the manager's discretion.
  • Ability to travel to up to 15%, annually, with minimum of quarterly visits to Stoughton, WI site, and bi-annual visits to our global headquarters in Pennsylvania.
