With offices across North Carolina, the Human Resources Generalist provides administrative support to the Human Resources team. The Human Resources Generalist assists in personnel recruitment, employee benefits administration, compliance with all mandated labor laws, and employee relations.*Jacksonville and Morehead City areas.RequirementsQualifications and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous health care office experience is beneficial. B.S. in Business Administration/Human Resources is preferred.
- Eligible candidate must demonstrate the following:
- Knowledge of state and federal employment/labor laws, practice policies.
- Knowledge of compensation and benefit administration.
- Knowledge of recruitment, interviewing, reference checking and other selection methods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and demands.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain composure when confronted with stressful situations.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and providers.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality for HR and payroll issues.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Coordinate new hires processing including completion of pertinent employment forms, benefits forms, etc. and forwarding to appropriate outside contacts. This includes entering all information into the payroll and time clock system.
- Serve as initial liaison to all personnel and mediate employee relations issues.
- Coordinate terminated employees process including completion of pertinent personnel forms, insurance forms such as COBRA notices, conduct exit interviews, etc.
- Coordinate activities in personnel recruitment including advertisements, assisting managers with interviews, appropriate background research and references.
- Administer student/observer requests, scheduling and performing student orientation and maintaining student records.
- Maintain personnel files, including address/phone number changes and filing any paperwork in individual employee files.
- Maintain/monitor records of worker's compensation, EEO, ADA, FMLA, unemployment and other employee claims.
- Interact with departmental managers to ensure compliance of employment/practice regulations and policies.
- Participate in annual open enrollment benefit period and processes benefits documents.
- Provide assistance to employees regarding work related injuries and prepare and file all related documents to Workers' Compensation carrier.
- Completion of employment verifications.
