Position Title: HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST - STAFFING SPECIALISTPosition Summary:This position is fully responsible for staffing and serves as a generalist for other Human Resource areas as required.Reports to: Vice PresidentHuman ResourcesPersonnel: Not applicable.Accountabilities: Accountable for understanding and following all SOPs and WIs related to job duties while supporting 6S and Lean Manufacturing concepts. Ensuring that the company operates in compliance with legal requirements in the area of benefit administration. Must present the appropriate balance between regard for company policy and business requirements and concern for employee issues.Authorities:Primary authority is to approve employment offers and selection decisions. Counsel management on appropriate actions and behaviors regarding company policy or other legal issues within the Human Resource purview. May recommend disciplinary action or termination on behalf of Human Resources for employees violating company policy or presenting other performance issues. Stop any employee involved in an act that would place himself or another employee in imminent danger. Duties:StaffingResponsible for all aspects of staffing function
- Communicate with leadership regarding staffing needs and support requisition creation process
- Coordinate and participate in recruiting activities including job fairs, plant tours and community events
- Maintain job postings and applicant tracking system within federal and state requirements
- Collaborate with marketing team for social media postings for recruiting events/advertising
- Screen applications; select candidates for further processing
- Schedule candidates for selection process steps, coordinating with schedules for internal interviewers
- Ensure all ATS required steps are followed, including final disposition and communication to applicants on status
- Complete all required steps in the screening, offer and pre-employment process
- Conduct pre-employment and first day at work onboarding activities
Generalist
- Perform project work as requested within HR or to support the company overall
- Ensure documentation and record keeping is maintained for all activity
- Stay abreast of new developments within this discipline
- Assist with employee communications
- Address general employee concerns and issues raised
Job Qualification Requirements:Educational Background - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent required.Experience - Intermediate to Advanced computer skills for Microsoft Office Suite. Minimum two years' experience in the Human Resource field, with at least one year in a staffing position.Physical Demands - The employee is required to:
- stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to floor
- exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
