POSITION SUMMARY: The Human Resources Business Partner is focused on Employee Relations activities for the organization and responsible for overseeing the companys employee relations programs, policies, and procedures. In this role, the person will manage activities related to the employee experience, promote employee satisfaction and foster a positive working environment, support performance management practices, and handle counseling and investigating employee relations matters while adhering to company policies. This role will also contribute regularly to all other aspects of HR. This individual must be an organized leader with the ability to work with different level of leaders, and lead by example. Must possess considerable knowledge of management-labor relations; the principles, practices, and procedures of Human Resources Management. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as main leader of employee relations issues and concerns; manage day to day execution, facilitate in person meetings regularly with employees, and manage administration of all personnel related matters Support other areas of Human resources department regularly Ensure timely and thorough completion of HR investigations and completion of required documentation/ reports Ensure compliance with federal, state, local labor laws and regulations; and alignment with company policies and practices Maintain up to date knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices Thoroughly prepare and document reports, anddocumentation related to employee relations activities Maintain accurate and confidential employee records related to employee relations issues Work with legal counsel on employee matters where necessary Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints and grievances Facilitate conflict resolution and mediation sessions between employees and/or management as necessary Support management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and recommendations on personnel issues Manage performance and disciplinary processes; provide recommendations; review corrective action forms and ongoing support Develop and implement performance improvement plans for employees as needed Support the development, implementation, and enforcement of employee relations policies and procedures Develop and implement initiatives to improve employee engagement and satisfaction; promote a positive working culture Design and deliver training programs on employee relations, conflict resolution, workplace behavior, and other related topics Maintain consistent practices with company policy/procedures and help align HR initiatives with business objectives Diagnose and recommend solutions that impact leadership development, employee relations, retention, and organization structure, interpreting, communicating and ensuring consistent application of company guidelines and procedures. Handles employment-related inquiries from employees and escalate to Director of Human Resources and Vice President of Human Resources as needed. Exercise considerable judgment, confidentiality and discretion during course of employment activity Operate ethically to protect the assets and image of the company. Performs other duties and responsibilities as per business need KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Minimum 5 years of Human Resources experience, within the hospitality field preferred. Minimum 2 years of Human Resources management experience related to employee relations and compliance In depth knowledge of city, state, and federal labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices Experience working with a majority non-exempt workforce Bachelors degree, preferably in human resources or related field. Strong leadership, high EQ, and relationship building skills. Strong interpersonal and communications skills including verbal, written, presentation, and listening skills Proven problem solving and conflict resolution abilities High level of reliability and personal integrity Superior organization skills with ability to oscillate between priorities quickly Collaborative work style and ability to work effectively across departments. Results oriented with ability to effectively manage projects and tight deadlines. Able to work in-office 5 days per week Proficient in Microsoft office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to sit and stand for prolong periods of time. Ability to move on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the property. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, climb steps regularly, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment. The base pay range for this position is between $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per annum. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc. Creative Culinary Management is an equal opportunity employer.
