Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Payroll and Benefits Lead to oversee and coordinate payroll, benefits administration, HRIS management, onboarding, and other HR-related programs. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in payroll processing, employee benefits, and systems management while maintaining compliance and delivering exceptional support to employees across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Administration
- Accurately calculate and process payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Manage payroll inputs, including new hires, salary adjustments, and terminations, while maintaining data accuracy.
- Process wage garnishments, child support, and other payroll deductions.
- Act as the go-to advisor for payroll policies, ensuring timely and effective communication.
- Benefits Management
- Administer employee benefits programs, including Paid Time Off (PTO) and Leave of Absence policies.
- Oversee benefit enrollments, terminations, and COBRA processes while maintaining accurate records.
- Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve benefits-related inquiries.
- HRIS and Reporting
- Manage and maintain the HRIS system, ensuring accurate data input, regular audits, and system updates.
- Create and analyze HRIS reports for headcount, turnover, EEO compliance, and other HR metrics.
- Oversee HRIS self-service tools and portals, ensuring accessibility and employee utilization.
- Onboarding and Compliance
- Lead new hire onboarding processes, including benefits presentations and system training for field and office locations.
- Maintain and update organizational charts and employee records to ensure compliance.
- Assist with background check analysis, pre-adverse actions, and internal transfers.
- Special Projects and Employee Programs
- Manage programs such as Tuition Reimbursement, Service Awards, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate internal communications regarding benefits updates, policy changes, and HR activities.
- Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in Human Resources with a focus on payroll, benefits, and HRIS management.
- Strong proficiency in payroll systems, HRIS platforms, and benefits administration processes.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
