Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:We are looking for a human resources specialist for our Heartwood Lodge Senior Living facility, which is located in Spring Lake, MI. U.S. News & World recognized Heartwood Lodge in its Best Nursing Homes issue for 2024.This position requires you be onsite every day.Key Responsibilities:* Weekly Orientation: Conduct informative and engaging weekly orientation sessions for new employees, ensuring they have a comprehensive understanding of our company culture, policies, and procedures.* Customer Service Focus: Provide exceptional customer service to all employees, answering questions, addressing concerns, and fostering a positive and supportive work environment.* Documentation and Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with all relevant HR laws and regulations.* Onboarding Support: Assist in the onboarding process, including paperwork completion, benefits enrollment, and coordination with various departments to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.* Benefits Administration: Educate employees on our comprehensive benefits package, assist with benefit enrollment, and serve as a point of contact for benefits-related inquiries.* HR Policies: Promote and enforce company HR policies and procedures to ensure a harmonious and compliant workplace.* Reporting: Generate and maintain HR reports and metrics to track key performance indicators and provide insights for continuous improvement.Atmosphere:Formerly part of the North Ottawa Community Hospital, Heartwood Lodge is part of Trinity Health Senior Communities and serves seniors in northwest Ottawa County and the surrounding communities in southern Muskegon County.Our 84-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitative facility is divided into three neighborhoods offering both private and semi-private rooms.Qualifications:* Minimum of 2 years of HR experience, with a strong understanding of HR best practices and regulations.* Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.* Strong written and verbal communication abilities.* Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.* Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Benefits:We offer a competitive compensation package, including a comprehensive benefits program that begins on day one.
