This position is for approximately 30 hours weeklyPOSITION SUMMARY: The HR Coordinator is primarily responsible for:
  • Responsible for aiding in the implementation and coordination of policies and programs of recruitment, selection, placement, training, promotion, welfare, safety, EEOC, ADA, FMLA and the separation of employment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process. Extends job offers and assists with career path planning.
  • Coordinates and participates with supervisors in disciplinary or termination proceedings involving individuals, when necessary.
  • Maintains good public relations status with the various civic and welfare organizations, local plants, and businesspeople in the community regarding personnel functions.
  • Aids in the development of training programs and personally participates in the new employee orientation.
  • Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollment, changes, and terminations. Processes required documents for payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
  • Conducts research into personnel programs and activities and recommends changes or innovations when desirable.
  • Assists with the preparation, distribution, and reconciliation of the performance review process.
  • Oversee exit interviews and procedures.
  • Assists in keeping employees informed and educated on all changes in personnel policies.
  • Assures that company employment, safety, labor relations, personnel, ADA and equal opportunity policies and practices comply with the applicable previsions of federal and state labor laws, including the maintenance of necessary files, etc.
  • Employee must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instruction. Can get along with co-workers or peers and respond appropriately to feedback from a supervisor in a professional manner.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Set up and maintain general control methods, records and files as required for effective personnel functions.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • EDUCATION: Associates Degree in in Human Resources or related field and/or equivalent.
  • EXPERIENCE: Three to five years in personnel related activities.
  • LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: None
  • OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: An understanding of people and their problems and seeing a sense of fairness and consistency. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines
