Job Overview: Generally expected to work as a valued member of the XL Specialized Trailers team. This job is responsible for performing Human Resources related duties at the professional level by carrying out responsibilities in functional areas of employee relations, training, benefits, and payroll. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide support for Human Resources Director, in a wide range of responsibilities related to benefits, hiring, payroll and employee success. Perform human resource functions including recruiting and hiring new employees, maintaining vital employee records and ensuring the smooth operation of the HR department. Reviews applications and interviews applicants to match experience with specific job-related requirements. Analyzes, prepares and inputs payroll data. Uses automated system to produce accurate and timely payroll. Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws. Initiates new-hire benefits and change of information by obtaining, verifying, and recording employee information. Maintains Human Resources Information System and personnel records. Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential. Maintains historical records by filing documents. Able to work independently, with strong work ethic and spirit of empathy Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Wear proper personal protective equipment. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, ensuring the success of all XL employees. Ancillary Duties: Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall operations of the XL Specialized Trailers. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Supervision Received: Works under general supervision. Responsibility for Public Contact: Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment. Licensing and Certification: None required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree Human Resources Management, or related field. PHR certification preferred. One to two years experience in Human Resource Management. Background in employment law and other government compliance regulations is preferred. Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult and emotional issues. The ability to research and analyze various different type of data information. Essential Skills and Experience: The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Problem analysis and problem resolution at an organizational level. Strong customer orientation. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment to company values. Computer proficiency. Proficient ten-key data entry. High degree of attention to detail and accuracy. Physical Demands: Extended periods of sitting. Ability to routinely lift 20 lbs. and occasionally up to 50lbs. Work Environment: Work is primarily performed indoors.
