The successful candidate will independently apply state human resource rules, policies, and procedures to routine human resource matters while providing outstanding customer service to employees and managers. - Receive, onboard and process new hire information.
- Receive, review for accuracy and process human resources transactions according to civil service rules and bargaining agreements.
- Reviews, processes and maintains payroll information to include edits, and/or manual special pay calculations.
- Track FMLA information in the department tracker.
- Use data analytics program to prepare and analyze complex information to reach conclusions and/or make recommendations regarding payroll functions.
- Explains routine collective bargaining contract provisions, Civil Service law and rules, workers' compensation, benefits, and safety rules and regulations to inform employees and agency officials.
- Answers written inquiries concerning application procedures and position vacancies to respond to requests for information.

Minimum qualifications:Education, training, and/or experience which provides a basic knowledge and understanding of human resource functions.
