ABOUT BALTIMORE COUNTRY CLUB Baltimore Country Club was founded in 1898 and it was a success from the start, with 600 members enjoying its 150-acre facility less than five miles from downtown Baltimore. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS THE HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT As the Human Resources Assistant, you will work directly with the Human Resources team by collaboratively creating a work environment for staff like no other! This fast-paced role demands someone that thrives in a quickly changing environment. The ideal candidate will administer HR processes related to on-boarding, benefits administration and billing, metrics and compliance. In addition, the HR Assistant contributes to various projects within the HR department and works closely with all Staff Members throughout the Club. This individual plays a large role in providing Staff with a welcoming, informative, and respectful experience. This position will work Monday - Friday, 30 hours/week. Additional Duties:
  • Accurately maintain Staff Member Personnel files and audit existing documentation
  • Prepare and process new hire paperwork, and change forms ensuring data integrity
  • Prepare new hire orientation packets
  • Respond to basic Staff Member questions related to Club policies, benefits, and other HR processes
  • Assist with planning Staff events, trainings, and Club meetings
  • Prepare metrics related to turnover & retention
  • Respond promptly to employment verification requests from external agencies
  • Process monthly invoices
  • Act as back up for Payroll Administrator
QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate must have a strong work ethic and service mindset with an outgoing personality! It's important to also have solid organizational skills with an eye for detail. You will be using a computer on a daily basis, so being proficient with Microsoft Office Suite is a must. The ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines is required in this role, as well as being able to professionally handle confidential and highly sensitive information with discretion. Previous hands-on experience with an HRIS system, preferably ADP, is ideal. A degree in Business and/or Human Resources is preferred but not required. Previous office experience in a professional setting is required. This is a full-time position that will work up to 40 hours per week with a flexible schedule Monday - Friday. Approximately 10 hours per week will be devoted to payroll department. Do you work well as part of a team and enjoy bringing people together? Are you highly organized with the ability to multi-task?
