Description:
- CalOptima Health is seeking a highly motivated an experienced TEMP - Human Resources Assistant (File Room) to join our team.
- Under general supervision, the Human Resources (HR) Assistant (File Room) will be responsible for providing support on human resources initiatives and processes.
- The incumbent will support management through file maintenance and completion of special projects.
- The incumbent will work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment while exercising discretion and maintaining confidentiality.
Duties & Responsibilities:
95% - Administrative Support
- Participates in a mission-driven culture of high-quality performance, with a member focus on customer service, consistency, dignity and accountability.
- Assists the team in carrying out department responsibilities and collaborates with others to support short- and long-term goals/priorities for the department.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
- Creates new employee files and retrieves the required materials.
- Maintains employee relations and benefits records and files in a neat and organized manner.
- Maintains I-9 files, background checks and medical test paperwork according to the legal requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent Plus 2 years of human resources experience required.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position such as those listed above may also be qualifying.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medium to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
