Job Description:
The Human Resources Assistant will provide administrative support to the Human Resources department, assisting with various HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR department, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and preparing documents.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist in the preparation of HR reports and presentations.
  • Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Conduct background checks and verify employment information.
  • Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations and ensure all onboarding paperwork is completed and filed.
  • Assist in addressing employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Help organize employee engagement activities and events.
  • Support HR Manager in handling employee relations issues and disciplinary actions.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment and changes.
  • Maintain benefits records and ensure timely communication with benefits providers.
  • Help coordinate open enrollment periods and benefits-related meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain HR documentation and ensure it meets regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in audits and ensure HR files are properly organized and maintained.
  • Coordinate training sessions and seminars.
  • Maintain training records and assist in tracking employee development plans.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by the HR Manager.
  • Continuously seek to improve HR processes and suggest enhancements.

Schedule:
  • Monday-Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (40 hours/week)
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of administrative experience, preferably in Human Resources.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
