Each day holds an opportunity to make a real impact.What the role entails:The Human Resources Assistant participates in the daily operations of the Human Resources Department focusing on functions and services to support the HR Team. The Human Resources Assistant will be a vital member of the Department working closely with the HR team.What we're looking for in the ideal candidate:

- Handles personnel matters and difficult situations with the highest levels of confidentiality, poise, and tact.
Essential responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department.
- Coordinating new hire orientation schedules and onboarding checklists.
- Processing employee updates such as new hires, transfers, address changes, status changes, and employee departures.
- Managing HR department inbox to ensure timely responses.
- Assisting the HR Generalist in the administration of employee benefits; insurance enrollments, open enrollment, reconcile monthly bills.
- Assisting in the execution of the annual review process.
- Maintaining human resources attendance records by tracking vacation, sick, and PTO time.
- Planning and executing Firm events with the HR team.
- Creating, maintaining, and auditing employee personnel files and records on the HRIS system.
- Assisting with the recruiting and processing background checks.
- Compiling and preparing statistical reports.
- Maintaining posted information on the Firm Intranet.
- Assisting with compliance efforts.
- Performing other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications and skills:
- A minimum of one (1) year experience in Human Resources or customer service, preferably within a law firm or professional services organization.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required, HR related course work a plus.
- Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through is a must; performs tasks with a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness.
- Ability to analyze and present data in a meaningful way.
- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
TKD is currently maintaining a hybrid schedule structured as Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in-office with alternating Mondays and the option to be remote Fridays.
