For more information, visit us online at gcsu.edu.Job SummarySupports recruitment activities by providing frontline customer service to employees, volunteers, and candidates. Ensures accurate filing and confidentiality of all documents and search files.ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service - 40* Serves as the first line of communication for managers and candidates regarding onboarding.* Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees about standard policies and hiring procedures.* Provides back-up support for front desk coverage.Document Management - 40* Scans and uploads recruitment and employee documents.* Facilitates the timely collection of all search files.* Ensures proper filing and retrieval of HR documents.* Assists with document audits for compliance purposes.* Creates and maintains employee files (both physical and digital).* Organizes and files HR documents systematically.* Implements and maintains a document indexing system.* Ensures storage and security of all records in accordance with regulations.* Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.Record Retention and Disposal - 10* Develops and implements records retention schedules for on-boarding, employment, and search files.* Ensures compliance with legal and regulatory retention requirements.* Implements and maintains a systematic purge process.* Conducts regular internal audits of retained records.Other - 10* Performs other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsEducational RequirementsAssociate's degree or equivalent.Required Experience1-3 years related experience.Preferred QualificationsPreferred ExperienceBasic knowledge of HR practices and procedures.Experience with HRIS or applicant tracking systems.1 year of Human Resources experience.Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesABILITIESCustomer service orientation.Proactive and efficient.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Ability to work effectively in teams.Ability to follow professional office protocol and procedures.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Teams.Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.KNOWLEDGEKnowledge of employment laws and regulations.SKILLSStrong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Excellent interpersonal skills.USG Core ValuesThe University System of Georgia is comprised of our 26 institutions of higher education and learning as well as the System Office.
