Description Summary: Under the general supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Assistant is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations. This will include hiring and onboarding duties. Essential Functions of the Job:
- Assists department in carrying out various human resource programs and procedures for all employees.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Assists with drafting employee correspondence and articles to communicate HR-relevant happenings and notifications.
- Establishes and maintains employment records; ensures that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis; review changes for the proper authorization.
- Assists in all recruiting and hiring efforts.
- Respond to all employment verification requests.
- Administer drug screening process.
- Assist in first day orientations.
- Assist with event coordination (e.g., career fairs, training meetings, company picnic, other employee-related events).
- Provide clerical and operational support to the Human Resources department.
- Provide backup support to Payroll Manager on an as-needed basis.
- Correct missed punches.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Provide backup and overflow support to the Office Coordinator.
