Job Description:
Description Summary: Under the general supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Assistant is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations. This will include hiring and onboarding duties. Essential Functions of the Job:
  • Assists department in carrying out various human resource programs and procedures for all employees.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Assists with drafting employee correspondence and articles to communicate HR-relevant happenings and notifications.
  • Establishes and maintains employment records; ensures that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis; review changes for the proper authorization.
  • Assists in all recruiting and hiring efforts.
  • Respond to all employment verification requests.
  • Administer drug screening process.
  • Assist in first day orientations.
  • Assist with event coordination (e.g., career fairs, training meetings, company picnic, other employee-related events).
  • Provide clerical and operational support to the Human Resources department.
  • Provide backup support to Payroll Manager on an as-needed basis.
  • Correct missed punches.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Provide backup and overflow support to the Office Coordinator.
