Your Role:

As a Rockstar HR Assistant you will be successful in assisting the HR Team with the daily core HR functions, such as recruitment, employee relations, engagement, benefits, training and development, and compliance.

Our team members are expected to communicate clearly, be independent and resourceful problem-solvers, and follow through with all delegated tasks. Each team member is also expected to employ the highest level of confidentiality in all aspects of their work.

This individual will often wear many hats – making their role dynamic and requiring a combination of interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Overall, they will play a key role as a bridge between employees and management, contributing to the overall success of the organization's human resources function.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist management with the following tasks—

  • Create and post social media recruiting content on several platforms.
  • Manage New hire Onboarding and correspondence.
  • Manage E-verify Compliance.
  • Manage GA DOL Reporting.
  • Manage Hiring Compliance.
  • Create, file, organize and audit personnel files and folders (hardcopy and electronically).
  • Manage Reference check process.
  • Operate as a Liaison to Payroll.
  • Maintain Birthday and Anniversary List and Gift distribution.
  • Order and prep new hire gifts and supplies.
  • Maintain Bulleting boards.
  • Coordinate and schedule new hire orientations for candidates.
  • Handle routine HR tasks such as attendance tracking.
  • Oversee employee benefits enrollment(s) and address related queries.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations as applicable to duties.
  • Proofread and edit HR policies and procedures for publishing.
  • Draft communications and develop graphics to support org-wide announcements.
  • Provide ideas to implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement.
  • Support the planning of employee events and recognition programs.
  • Generate HR reports and analytics to support decision-making.
  • Meet and greet employees, vendors, customers and clients, as needed.
  • Create working relationship with HR Manager, Benefits, Payroll and other direct-impact departments to ensure duties are accomplished to meet expectations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred for this role.
  • Must have at least 1-3 years of relevant and demonstrated HR experience.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and other HR software.
  • Experience in maintaining employee records and handling routine HR administrative tasks.
  • Familiarity with local, state and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • General experience in recruiting, coordinating interviews, and managing the onboarding experience.
  • Written and visual communication experience is a plus!

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Must exhibit excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, analytical, and problem-solving skills while communicating effectively.
  • Must have excellent computer skills in Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook and any other similar programs.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Requires the ability to work independently and cross-functionally while prioritizing the needs of the business.
  • Flexibility to handle diverse responsibilities within the HR function.
  • Deep understanding of confidentiality and trustworthiness.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
