About the Program and Position:

Our program advocates for families and children, guiding them through complex systems and helping them access vital resources such as healthcare, education, and social services. We provide comprehensive support and coordination of services to address specific needs and challenges families face. And this MAKES A DIFFERENCE by promoting stability, well-being, and overall development of children and families.

How you get to use your skills

  • Enter personnel information into the Human Resources Information System. Utilize HRIS applications to track all HR data electronically
  • Assist in agency recruiting process, including but not limited to posting job openings, updating ads, tracking job postings
  • Receive and redirect candidate calls during the hiring process
  • Assist in coordinating employee orientation process with HR Department staff, Training Department, and supervisors, which includes but is not limited to notifying the Training Department of attendees, scheduled fingerprint appointments, physicals and TB tests
  • Coordination of onboarding for new hires and assist with new hire paperwork
  • Conduct reference and PSA checks for job applicants
  • Assist with online investigation and employee background checks
  • Assist with external and internal audits for the Human Resources Department
  • Coordinate creation and distribution of ID Badges for all incoming and transferring staff
  • Record meeting minutes and distribute on time
  • Communicate with supervisors positively to ensure deadlines are met
  • Complete requested/required projects for the Human Resources Department
  • Prepare Green sheets for transfer and promotions
  • Prepare Yellow Sheets for termination or suspension
  • Send out employee changes and termination notices
  • Assist team with various projects as assigned

Required Experience:

  • Associate degree required
  • At least two years of experience working in an office setting required
  • Highly skilled in MS Office and web-based HRIS systems. Working knowledge of Paylocity and ATS programs is preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must be able to complete tasks independently and with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills and ability to work in a flexible team context
  • NYS Driver s License preferred

Schedule: Exempt

This is a full-time position; regular hours entail 9:00 am 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday
