If this sounds like you, we'd love to meet you!Reporting Structure: The HR Benefits Specialist reports to the HR Manager.Key Responsibilities:Oversee all employee benefit programs, including health and life insurance, retirement plans, leave of absence policies, PTO, worker's compensation, and tracks leave requestsEnsures benefits enrollments are completed timely and accuratelyEducates staff on benefits and resolving issuesCoordinates annual benefits open enrollmentFosters and maintains relationships with benefit carriersHandles benefits enrollments, changes and notify payroll of updatesAssists with required annual auditsProvides seasonal support to other HR members when requested or neededPerforms other activities as assignedQualifications & Skills Needed:Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business or another related fieldMinimum of 3-5 years of HR experience overseeing company benefits preferredAdditional experience in any of the following areas welcomed: payroll, recruitment, pre- hire activities, data entry, complianceBasic knowledge of HR best practices, all state and federal employment laws and regulationsAbility to carry out tasks accurately in a timely manner, juggle priorities and meet deadlinesAbility to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentialityEssential soft skills - communication, organization, problem solving, service-oriented attitudeTechnical skills - Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite; Familiarity with Powerschool and UKGReady HRIS system a plus.Strong attention to detail requiredTeam player with a passion for customer serviceProject management skills a plusA deep belief in our mission to provide an exceptional, safe and holistic K4-12 Christian education developing our students to be tomorrow's leadersBelief in the ability of every child and a commitment to ensure excellence for each studentParticipating member in a local churchLastly and most important, the candidate must demonstrate and possess the highest integrity and be able to live the values, beliefs, and culture of Augustine Prep.Non-Discriminatory PolicySt. Augustine Preparatory Academy is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, sex, national and ethnic origin or any other basis prohibited by law when hiring, promoting, establishing wages, or providing benefits.As a faith-based institution based on biblical principles, St. Augustine Preparatory Academy hires employees who agree with the school's Mission Statement and Statement of Beliefs and adhere to biblical standards of conduct.To be considered for this role, please use the following link to apply:
