The Human Resources Business Partner is a key member of the Employee Relations team. This role is charged with providing leadership best practices advice throughout the employee life cycle to maximize employee efficiencies. The Human Resources Business Partner will deliver on strategic business partnerships with a focus on employee relations. The Human Resources Business Partner will perform a broad range of professional human resources tasks, including but not limited to interpreting and developing policies, developing programs and initiatives in line with the organization's strategic goals, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, effective performance management, leadership development, and other key initiatives driving employee retention. This role serves as a business partner in consulting and supporting various business departments' operations. This position works closely with organizational leadership in a consulting manner, providing guidance and coaching to assist in facilitating improvements in the employee experience. This person builds and maintains strong relationships with cross-functional partners, helping to achieve Company and Enterprise initiatives, ultimately driving business results.

- Provides consultation and support to department business partners and associates on all HR related issues.
- Develop and maintain positive coaching relationships with managers and leaders and provide guidance and support in addressing employee development and disciplinary matters throughout the organization.
- Conducts prompt, thorough, and neutral workplace investigations.
- Maintains proper documentation, partners with leadership on outcome, and ensures timely resolution and follow-up on employee relations issues.
- Promote consistency while working with team members and managers to develop appropriate action plans addressing employee behavioral and/or performance deficiencies.
- Serves as the primary HR point of contact for the assigned operations teams. This position will be located in Westerville, Ohio.
- Advises business leaders on all aspects of organizational effectiveness including hiring, performance management, employee relations and policy interpretation.
- Evaluates organizational climate and issues, assists with employee communications and facilitates improvements in the employee experience.
- Maintain confidentiality relating to sensitive and employee relations matters.
- Provides guidance and assistance in the disciplinary action process; makes recommendations on the appropriate level of corrective action.
- Champions employee engagement initiatives.
- Serves as lead on various HR projects, such as engagement surveys, policy and procedure revisions, and identifying/implementing continuous process improvements.
- Utilizes various systems/tools to track HR issues, identify trends, measure progress and analyze data. Compiles information and generates reports.
- Helps drive the execution and periodic analysis of on-going HR processes and programs, such as bonus programs, performance reviews, HR audits and recognition programs.
- Ensures legal compliance with all Federal and State regulations. Upholds consistency in the interpretation and administration of policies. Educates business partners on employment laws.
- Assist in assessing, creating, conducting and measuring associate and leadership training.
- Coordinate and or act as the HR sponsor for roundtables, town halls and or employee committees.
- Assist in the ADA interactive process.
- Collaborates with corporate business partners and assists in the management, administration and communication of employee benefits, such as health and welfare benefit plans, policies on time away from work and leave of absences including FMLA, Workers' Compensation, and Paid Time Off (PTO).
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor`s (BA or BS) in Human Resource Management or related field (e.g. Business, Organizational Communication, Industrial Psychology) preferred or equivalent experience.
- SHRM-CP/SHRM/SCP or PHR/SPHR preferred.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in HR Generalist / HR Business Partner/HR Specialist capacity with expertise in employee relations.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to identify, manage, and mitigate risk using exceptional judgement.
- Previous HR experience in supporting large diverse business operations preferred.
- Professional maturity and demeanor, strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple priorities/initiatives while driving results and being able to work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively and build positive/effective business partnerships.
- Proven project management skills and leadership capabilities.
- Strong employment law and Federal and State regulations and legal compliance knowledge.
- Proficiency in MS word, excel and power point.
- Experience with human resources information systems (HRIS).
- Proven ability to multi-task in order to achieve daily goals and provide support to the assigned client group.
- Occasional flexibility to have a presence on multiple shifts.
