Job Description:

Our client, a midsize commercial bank in New York City is seeking a highly experienced HR Business Partner to join their dynamic team. This individual with have specialized expertise in talent management and learning practices and will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing HR strategies that align with their organizational goals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strategic thinking, taking initiative, and delivering successful Human Resources processes. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that drive business objectives
  • Provide expert guidance on talent acquisition, workforce planning, and organizational development
  • Oversee the end-to-end talent management process, including talent identification, succession planning, and performance management
  • Design and implement initiatives to attract, develop, and retain top talent within the organization
  • Oversee planning and design of management and leadership programming
  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive learning programs to enhance employee skills and competencies
  • Stay abreast of industry trends to ensure our learning practices remain cutting-edge and effective
  • Act as a trusted advisor for employees and managers, resolving complex HR issues and fostering a positive workplace culture
  • Conduct regular assessments to gauge employee satisfaction and engagement, implementing strategies to address areas for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Implement policies and procedures to maintain a fair and ethical working environment
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on talent management and learning practices
  • Strong understanding of the financial services industry, especially within the banking sector
  • Demonstrated success in leading HR initiatives and driving organizational change
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization
