POSITION SUMMARY:
Posillico is seeking a skilled and experienced HR Business Partner to support our Texas Division. This role is essential in driving HR initiatives and ensuring compliance across our operations in Texas with the support of the corporate Human Resources team in New York. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources, with specific experience in employee relations, benefits administration, federal contractor compliance, EEO practices, and the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Benefits Administration:
- Oversee the administration of employee benefits for the Texas Division, including…
- Health insurance, Retirement plans, and other company-sponsored programs.
- Provide communication ensuring employees understand and can utilize their benefits effectively.
Policy & Procedure Development:
- Collaborate with Corporate Human Resources in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of HR policies and procedures for the Texas team.
- Ensure alignment with corporate policy and compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Texas-based managers and employees.
- Addressing employee relations issues and provide guidance on conflict resolution and performance management.
- Seek support and direction from Corporate Human Resources on complex issues.
Federal Contractor Compliance:
- Manage and ensure compliance with all federal contractor hiring practices, including…
- Affirmative action planning,
- OFCCP audits,
- Adherence to EEO guidelines within the Texas region.
Talent Acquisition:
- Collaborate with Texas hiring managers and Corporate Human Resources team to execute effective recruitment strategies to hire top talent in the area.
- Attend college recruitment career fairs.
- Review and post job descriptions.
- Resume review and initial candidate screenings.
- Coordinate and facilitate interviews both virtually and in person.
- Process pre-screening requirements and negotiate offers of employment.
Learning and Development:
- Collaborate with managers to identify skill gaps and future training needs.
- Research and work with Corporate Human Resources to develop and implement training programs to meet the needs of the division.
- Ensure staff training requirements are met, advising managers when employee training is overdue.
Performance Management:
- Provide support to managers in setting clear, measurable, and achievable goals for individual employees and teams.
- Coach managers on conducting effective performance management conversations throughout the year and documentation as appropriate.
- Guide managers on completing and conducting performance evaluations.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Annual Human Resources & Payroll document audits.
- Process employment verifications.
- Assist with PTO management.
- Liaison to corporate HR and assistance where needed.
- Miscellaneous Payroll and Human Resources duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, Generalist or similar HR role, ideally within construction or a related industry.
- Bilingual Spanish/English speaking and writing skills required.
- In-depth knowledge of employee benefits administration, best practices related to employee relations, and proven experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Knowledge and experience related to federal contractor hiring requirements, and EEO practices preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- SHRM-CP certification preferred.
Reports to: Vice President of Human Resources, with indirect reporting to Business Unit Leader
Location: Austin, TX with 25% Travel within Texas & Some Travel to NY
