Job Description:

Robert Half is seeking a dedicated and results-driven Human Resources People Operations Specialist to join our client's team in a permanent capacity. The individual in this role will play a crucial function, underpinning the smooth operation of the company's human resources department.

Overview:

  • Employee Relations: You will serve as a liaison between employees and management, managing high volume employee relations, and resolving complex employee issues that require an in-depth understanding of HR policies and regulations.
  • Performance Management: You will oversee performance management systems, setting benchmarks for employee performance, and providing regular feedback to support personnel growth and improvement.
  • Employee Investigations: From time to time, you might need to investigate employee complaints or concerns. You will need to do these objectively and professionally, ensuring impartiality, confidentiality, and thoroughness.
  • Payroll & Benefit Inquiries: Act as primary contact for payroll and benefits-related concerns. You will need to manage and resolve inquiries effectively and promptly.
  • HR Compliance: Maintain detailed knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees. You will need to comply with these laws and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Retention Oversight: Implement and oversee retention strategies targeted at reducing employee turnover and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Policy Implementation: Develop, implement, and review HR policies and procedures, ensuring that the company is in compliance with all current employment law and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • At least four years of experience in a human resources position with significant employee-facing activities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of NY employment law.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency with HRIS and other HR systems.
  • Skilled at working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, managing tasks competently, and communicating effectively.

Working modalities: This position works in a hybrid capacity, with four mandatory on-site workdays each week. Remote work is offered one day per week.
