The HR Business Partner, Operations will partner with people leaders across the site to lead training, development and cultural initiatives. This dynamic role will collaborate with a wide range of teams across the site and have the ability to develop and lead HR initiatives.
Objective:Partners with operations leaders across the site to support development, training, cultural initiatives and ensure consistent application of HR processes and policy. Responsible for developing and implementing HR processes and training for partner groups. Coordinates the special events function and owns site-wide employee communications.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions: - Coordinates and administers employee rewards and recognition programs.
- Develops and conducts training to implement new practices, policies, or procedures.
- Creates and implements regular leadership and development training for site leadership.
- Provides counsel, advice and assists management partners with performance-related issues to ensure employees are meeting or exceeding performance standards.
- Develops and implements performance improvement plans when necessary.
- Develops and maintains an effective plant wide communication program.
- Responsible for maintaining the company social media pages.
- Develops and maintains a site-wide system for collecting employee feedback.
- Regularly analyzes and recommends actions based on employee feedback.
- Responsible for developing positive employee relations activities within partner group, and for effectively addressing employee relations problems or issues.
- Responsible for consistent and compliant administration of human resources practices, policies and procedures.
- Analyzes practices, policies and procedures for improvement and provides recommendations.
- Protects the interests of employees and the company in accordance with human resource policies, procedures and regulations.
- Conducts separation procedures including exit interviews.
- Responsible for conducting and making continuous improvements to the new hire orientation and onboarding process.
- Responsible for proposing, maintaining and coordinating special events.
- Explains policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.
- Complies with and supports the proper administration of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local regulatory requirements for the site.
- Supports the talent acquisition process as needed.
- Supports the internal HR audit function as needed.
- Responds to employee questions.
- Data entry and maintenance in the company HRIS.
- Assists with all day-to-day operations of the HR function.
- Assists with internal and external projects, as requested.
- Team fill in as needed.
- Ability to maintain flexible work hours to accommodate a 3-shift manufacturing site.
- Attendance to occasional after-hours events required.
- All other duties as assigned.
Work Environment:This is a manufacturing facility and as a result, employees have the potential to be exposed to noise, chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, machinery, vibration or other workplace hazards controlled within compliance of current safety and health standards.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or business-related field or equivalent work experience.
- Experience working in manufacturing preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
