Sterling, ILDepartment: Human Resources (HR)Reports To: Benefits ManagerWage Range: $14.57 - $18.73 per hourAs an HR Clerk in Benefits, you will help manage employee benefit records from new hire enrollments through life events and open enrollment, termination of benefits and ongoing benefit communication.WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Utilizes computer programs and other standard office equipment to record, store and retrieve information
- Assists employees with benefit questions
- Provides clerical support to Personnel and Payroll, as needed
- Provides clerical support to Corporate HR leadership, as needed
- Assists with weekly payroll functions
- Provides clerical support to DC HR teams, as needed
- Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.
YOU MUST HAVE
- High school diploma or general equivalency degree
- Strong working knowledge of software applications, specifically Microsoft Office Suite products
- Trustworthiness to maintain confidential information
- Ability to make independent decision
- Good interpersonal skills
YOU MAY ALSO HAVE
- Prior Human Resources experience
- Customer service skills to serve employees in an appropriate manner
- Experience with Microsoft Excel (VLookUp), Word, and Outlook

- Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:00-5:00
