CHP outreach provides free health screenings, insurance enrollment assistance as well as information so people can learn how to take better care of themselves and their families. Salary: $24.00 - $28.00 / hour The Human Resources Coordinator collaborates with the HR Team to support, process and organize key events in the employee life cycle. This role coordinates the onboarding process of new hires and ensures all necessary credentialing paperwork is completed. Also, this role manages all necessary processes for job changes, promotions and terminations. The position also collaborates with the finance team to process purchase orders for HR & gathers audit data when requested. This person will support CHP's mission, vision, and values and will adhere to compliance protocols as well as CHP's policies and procedures. POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Human Resources Coordinator Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage pre-employment requirements for all staff, students, and temporary staff using established checklist processes in collaboration with the credentialing department, payroll and HR.
    • Process CORI, Background, and E-Verify checks.
    • Verify references.
    • Create/request all new hire digital account log ins-CHP Network, Athena (Electronic Medical Records) if applicable, Paychex(Payroll), HealthStream (Training), Security Aware (Training), AwardCo (Rewards), AMGAlerts (Emergency Alert System).
  • Facilitate on-boarding sessions for all new hires.
  • Field all questions (email, phone or in person) and re-route to the appropriate HR team member if needed.
  • Maintain employment files on site and electronically.
  • Participate in all required meetings.
  • Manage termination process using established checklist processes.
  • Ensure legal compliance in hiring practices by staying informed on current legislation.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

  • Strong understanding of credentialing and privileging compliance guidelines a plus.
  • Exceptional customer service and follow-up skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Attention to detail with the ability to manage broader issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment.
  • Sensitivity and competence in working with diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • High degree of confidentiality and professionalism in handling all HR matters.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in HR preferred, other administrative experience considered.

Education and Training:

  • Associate's Degree required; bachelor's degree preferred (relevant combination of education and experience will be considered).
  • SHRM certification preferred.
