Job DetailsJob LocationMain Hospital Campus Headquarters - Madison, WVPosition TypeFull TimeDescriptionSummary The Human Resources Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including talent acquisition, benefit administration, leave of absence, payroll, record-keeping and HRIS entry, and assist with the enforcement of company policies and procedures. Please note, this is an onsite position, and remote work is not available. The successful candidate will be required to work at the main hospital campus, located in Madison, West Virginia, during regular business hours.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.The Human Resources Coordinator is expected to perform the following essential functions:
  • Assist with management of the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, orientation, background screening, track and manage candidates in HRIS. Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Audit and keep all licensure lists and prime source verification of professional licenses for the staff.
  • Assist in reporting worker compensation claims and maintaining all documentation and workers compensation files.
  • Support and assist with payroll processing and HRIS entry.
  • Respond to internal and external HR related requests or inquiries and provide assistance.
  • Support the day to day leave of absence administrative function and escalate key issues to the Executive Director of Human Resources.
  • Collaborate with HR team to create and monitor new employee morale programs as well as assist in maintaining existing wellness and volunteering programs.
  • Additional job duties as assigned.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Competencies
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the human resource field.
  • Understanding of state and federal employment regulations.
  • Awareness of OSHA regulations and Joint Commission compliance standards.
  • Understanding of personnel and compliance records management.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Physical demands
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
Travel required
  • Up to 15% of time may be spent traveling within the State of West Virginia and surrounding areas.
Required education and experience
  • Associate degree or higher in Business Management or other approved field of study, or equivalent experience
  • Human Resource experience: two(2) plus,
  • Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to develop relationships, build rapport, and effectively interface with personnel at all levels of the organization
Preferred education and experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
