You must be able to be in person, in Boston 3 days per week, so local candidate only please.Some of your responsibilities include the following:Administers the benefits, including reconciliation and audit of monthly bills, ensures that all credits are appropriately charged and or credited timely.Provide benefit counseling to all eligible employees about health & welfare benefits; assist eligible employees with benefit enrollments and disenrollment procedures.Communicate effectively with benefit providers regarding employee participation, changes, status problems or other areas of concern.Schedule and prepare materials for annual open enrollment meetings.Manages and oversees compliance with the Affordable Care Act Compliance including working with outside vendors on reporting and regulation.Maintains updated benefits materials, communicates all changes to staff.Works closely with the corporate recruitment team to ensure that all new hires are entered into the HRIS system for onboarding. Performs orientation and ensures that all new employee information is accurate, reserve rooms or coordinate meetings as necessary.Responsible for onboarding of new hires, partners with mentors and managers to ensure new employee experience is collaborative, gratifying and exceeds expectations.Maintains all employment records for all personnel transactions, maintains files appropriately and legally.Performs all termination procedures for separating employees, sets up exit interviews, sends appropriate COBRA and other termination paperwork, and terminates from all systems.Essential Skills & RequirementsBachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience2 plus years of related HR experience absolutely required.Experience in the AEC industry is preferred.Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now preferredStrong knowledge and experience of Federal and State Leave and Labor LawsExemplary communication skills required.Decision making and judgement necessary.Ability to maintain confidentiality of employees, clients and company.Our Work CultureAt Vanderweil Engineers, we recognize the importance of work-life synergy and believe our best work is done when flexibility is offered, and wellness is supported.
