Dean Evans Community and Education Center Calendar Length: 12 Months/260 Days (Year Round) Work Schedule: 8:00am - 4:30pm Classification: Office Personnel Coordinator Status: Salaried Salary: $62,400 - $66,830 (Experience will be taken into consideration) JOB DESCRIPTION: The Human Resources Coordinator reports directly to the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources. Major areas of responsibility include:
Processing of administrative and certified teaching staff including, but not limited to, communications prior to hiring, background checks, HR onboarding, creation of digital files, and holding of intake meetings. Generating official offer letters and scheduling HR appointments. Providing information to potential retirees. Providing information with regards to those going on maternity leave. Creating and updating administrative and certified teaching staff in the payroll system (Financial Management System) relating to new hires and employee changes. Completing updates in the email system for all new and current administrative and certificated staff. Creating and maintaining physical and digital files for current and former administrative and certificated teaching staff. Creating and updating job descriptions for all certificated and administrative staff. Posting all administrator and certificated vacancies over various platforms. Working closely with the Benefits Specialist regarding FMLA and other leaves. Maintaining the evaluation platform (SFS) and entering, removing and updating information. Maintaining good communication and public relations on a daily basis with various publics, including but not limited to, applicants, teachers, and building level and central office administrators. Maintaining numerous lists and spreadsheets pertaining to administrative and certificated teaching staff. Preparing, distributing, and retrieving contracts of administrative and certified teaching staff. Processing DOE reports and other required reports and surveys. Posting summer school positions and entering payroll information. Acting as contact for Retirement Management Plan vendors. Entering information on retirement platforms for certified and administrative staff. Completing employment verifications for current and previous certified and administrative staff. Other tasks as assigned and appropriate. EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree Required. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a Human Resources Related Field Preferred. REQUIREMENTS: Must be conscientious, well organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and able to set priorities. Should be a self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Knowledge of Standards for Success, Google Sheets, Google Documents, FMS (Financial Management System), and Frontline applications software. Candidates must be able to communicate and interact tactfully and professionally with staff and various publics including parents, students, teachers, building level and central office administrators, community patrons, and public and private agencies. Candidates should be flexible with hours needed to perform the job. Prior experience in Human Resources or Business Services positions preferred.
