The Children's Workshop Foundation, a nonprofit organization that operates six early childhood learning schools in Rhode Island, is seeking a customer-focused, detail-oriented team player for the full time role of Human Resources Coordinator.

This position will be based out of our Central Falls school and with occasional travel to our other RI school locations as needed (mileage reimbursement provided).

In this role, you will provide HR and administrative support to internal and external customers in the following areas of responsibility:

* Recruitment: Support TCW's ongoing recruitment efforts by maintaining new hire tracker, submitting background screening requests, and completing reference checks. Assist with sourcing candidates and scheduling interviews.

* Benefit Administration: Serve as first point of contact for employee benefit questions and change requests. Process enrollment changes and payroll deduction changes.

* Leave Administration: Serve as first point of contact for employee leave requests (FMLA, Workers Comp, Personal Leave). Apply applicable company policy and legal requirements to determine eligibility for leave. Communicate leave requirements to employees, track leave time taken, maintain accurate leave files.

* Employee Records: Maintain accurate employee records in Paylocity system. Ensure that employee records are complete and accessible for regulatory review. Process employee status, pay and deduction changes for weekly payroll processing. Complete information requests from outside parties.

* Employee Engagement: Support TCW's positive workplace culture through proactive and responsive internal customer service, monthly service acknowledgements, coordination of new employee orientation programs and special events, etc.

Requirements

* Minimum of 1 year of Human Resources and/or payroll experience required.

* College coursework or degree in relevant field of study is preferred.

* Working knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

* Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office 365 and HRIS. Experience with Paylocity is a plus.

* Excellent interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

* Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize work tasks, pay attention to details and meet deadlines.

* Strong analytical, judgement and problem-solving skills.

* Must act with integrity and professionalism while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.

* Selected candidate must successfully complete required criminal and DCYF background screenings.

Salary Description

$42,000 - 50,000
