Job Description:
Position Title: Human Resources Director
Salary: $127,680-$139,519 (4 annual steps)
JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resources Director is responsible for the development and administration of city-wide human resources functions including recruitment, equal opportunity employment, labor relations, employee health benefits, training, and classification and compensation of positions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree and 5-7 years of work experience in the human resources field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. A Master's degree and/or professional certification is desirable.
Knowledge: Substantial knowledge of Human Resources and municipal personnel administration, local, state, and federal personnel laws and regulations, and knowledge of contemporary business software.
Ability: Ability to supervise employees, develop and implement personnel services, communicate effectively, and maintain confidentiality.
Skills: Excellent planning, time management, organizational, customer service, and communication skills.
Additional Requirements: Must successfully complete and pass a Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Performs administrative work in office conditions with frequent contact with the public and other City employees. Required to work beyond normal business hours to attend evening meetings.
Supervision Required: Works under administrative direction of the Mayor and is accountable for department results.
Confidentiality: Employee has access to city-wide confidential information.
